2010 Olympic Mascot

The 2010 Olympics are coming to Whistler. I have a new idea for a Mascot. They already have Sumi, but I thought that Jack looked like a good mascot too.

Whistler or Bust!

Toady we headed to Whistler with Teresa's brother Adam, and his family (wife Erica, daughter Samantha, and new-born son Luke). We took off just before noon and ended up traveling for nearly 9 hours up to Whistler, B.C. It took a little longer than normal, since we took our time and enjoyed the travel. When we got to Whistler, we checked in real quick and then went to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Afterwards we went on a evening walk through the village and then back to our rooms for the night. Here are some photos from the first day:

Last minute check in Puyallup before we head out for the open road!

Canadian Border Crossing. No interrogation from the border guards this time. We both whisked right through.

Enjoying the ice cream for dessert.

We think Jack should be a Taxi driver. He loves pushing baby Luke around in his stroller.

4th of July, 2008

This fourth of July we spent the day around the house today, shooting off some fireworks and trying to keep Jack safe. In the evening we headed over the the Taggart's house for a barbecue and more fireworks. After dark, we went next door to their neighbors for a fantastic fireworks show. We finished up our night at the Taggart's for more fireworks of our own and some dessert. We had a great time!

The girls enjoy some quiet time before the fireworks show.

I spell my name with a sparkler, as Kate snaps a picture.
